Missions

First Baptist Church believes in an Acts 1:8 approach to missions.  That is, we focus missions efforts first in our town, next to our state, then to other regions of our country, and finally to the farthest reaches of the world.


Missions as a part of the whole church ministry are carried out by all members of the church in many different ways.  If you have specific questions about how to become involved in the missions efforts currently being undertaken by FBC, please contact pastor Rich - rclee76@gmail.com.

Some recent missions efforts in each of these areas include:

    • 2009 - ice storm relief efforts
    • 2010 - home constructed and given away
    • 2010 & 2011 - weekly food distribution to unemployed
    • 2011 - Flood Relief providing food, clothing & home repair
  • Missouri
    • 2011 - flood relief in Morehouse and Poplar Bluff
  • United States
    • 2011 - Oklahoma Family Mission Trip
  • International
    • Nicaragua - home building and well drilling for many years
    • Mexico - church planting and construction, street evangelism
    • Romania - 2011, church planting and support
    • Belarus - 2010 & 2011, encouragement to persecuted church and language schools
